Church First Live Streaming

Glory be to God! We've recently celebrated behind the historic live streaming by taking the entire church on a churchwide SIBKL DNA series. It's a breakthrough for how church service/event will be conducted. We know this is not something new for church, especially "mega" ones all over the world (even here in KL we know of a few churches who've already been doing this for some time), but for SIBKL, this is our first. We are really blessed with the resources that we can tap on to make this happen. It's not just the equipments (we have very high-tech video system in place) but it's mostly about the people are in involve in the project. We are overwhelmed for the time and effort they've put into preparing & testing leading to the first live streaming. It was really amazing serving alongside with the team.

The preparation for the live streaming has already started when we scoped out the system in SMCC back at the end of 2011. At the rate of church attendance growing, we knew this requirement will come up soon. Hence, a lot of thoughts was put in place during those scoping time. The challenge was always the sacrifice of time spent on this project. Everyone took effort to spend time doing research and reading about what we would be going into before we went into the project. As for preparation/testing leading up to our first live stream, it only took the team one meeting to distribute the roles and responsibility of everyone as we had already prepared the team for this earlier. After that, it took them almost 2-3 days to setup before the actual testing day.

In conclusion, preparation is really important no matter what you're doing!
